  On she being TECH SAVVY
I changed my mobile phone after a long use of 3.5 years and I was not comfortable in using my new phone with reduced features and new layout of the keys.

One of the most missed features was the4 direct saving of a contact by keying the number and the name in the main screen and not through the formal add contact route.

Today she was playing with my mobile and keying some numbers and accidentally I happened to see that she had moved into the SAVE mode from there. She had revealed a shortcut or the same old feature of my previous phone.

I was taken aback to realize that there was such a possible route, which I had not discovered through reading the USER MANUAL thoroughly!!!

  Krithika's Sense of Direction
Yesterday (Tuesday 24.12.2005) we had been to meet Padma aunt at Gundu's place. She enjoyed being inside the house all day long. It was in the evening that she started her pranks as her mother did not return on time and she wanted to go out for a walk.

I assumed that she would be pacified by just taking her outdoor to till the staircase.

I walked half way through the stairs and asked Gowri my usual question. Which way should I go? Left or Right.

Gowri without any hesitation showed me the way down the stairs indicating me that we need to go down before we make a decision of turning left / right...

  November Summary
Krithika developed a lot of stammered words into her vocabulary added to a molar on the right bottom jaw. It has not been a healthy month as she suffered From NAPPY RASH in the earlier part of the month and ended with a running nose with fever.

We have visited doctor almost 6 times in the last 2 months. We have had to cancel our trip to Madikeri Club Mahindra due to her ill health.

We got a Nursery Rhyme VCD for her to learn a few words and she is very fond of it. Gowri has learnt to operate the music system to switch ON her NURSERY RHYMES. Her favourite rhyme is Ba Ba which stands for BA BA BLACK SHEEP. It is so much a favourite rhyme for her; she made me to literally play the rhyme Almost 20+ times over a weekend when I was babysitting her in the absence of her Mom and Lakshmi.

She has also named Lakshmi as MIMMI, her mom as CHITTE and she calls me as PUTTA.

Blending her muddu voice with a bit of raaga, her calling of these names are so lovely, it mesmerizes anybody who listens it.

One of the most favourite time pass for her is to climb the stairs. And as we were told it was an early development in her as compared to the normal rate of progress.

Whenever she sees a kid in the shopping mall, she clasps the hand to shake and exclaims BABY BABY...... not realizing that she too is one...

Of late she has started recognizing the Pediatricians’ chamber. As soon as we enter it, she starts clasping her mom very rigidly and starts crying during examinations.

Now she has started to mimic the voice of a Dog, Cat, Elephant, Crow and never the less she knows the spelling of her name... GOWR....I

She has been able to pick up everything that we speak in Kannada, like asking her to call her mom, give a thing to her mom / get a thing from mimmi / amma... and at last but not the least even a scolding.

She knows that she is the amma's and anna's pet daughter when she says NAANA for our question “Ammana gudiya yaaru, Appana Gudiya Yaaru? Never the less She replies the same when asked "Ammana MONKEY yaaru?"

  On Gowri's Crying.
A couple of days back when she was crying; I recorded her voice and made a copy of the same on my PC. She continued to cry and I replayed the recorded cry and to my expectation she stopped the cry and started to listen to the played cry... Probably sometime later in her career, she might respond to someone else crying next to her...

  Gandhi Tata.
She always clasps the coins so tight, she doesn't drop it on her way to the MAAMI gudi that is situated a couple of lanes away from our house. She drops it only into the golaka of the temple.

Very recently she found an Rs 500 bill on my hand and she wanted that note. Much against the wishes of her mother that the note might be contaminated due to circulation among many hands, I gave the note to Gowri, and I taught her that the face in the note is GANDHI TATA. She without any hesitation did a MAAMI
JYOTHA to the Gandhi Tata....!!!

And since then she has made it a habit to bow to Gandhi Tata whenever she sees a note.
