  Krithika in March 2006
Gowri's learning took an unprecedented acceleration in this month. I'm just wondering how many of her new learnings can be enlisted here. She volunteers more than ever in answering the regular queries that we usually have.
Some of the new words that she has learnt are MANE (for house), META (stair case - mettilu as called in kannada), A B B Chi Chi (ABCD...), MAJJE (maggige), BARTINI (I will come), JOOTAATA (juttu), TUPPA (ghee), KIT.KIT.KIT.KIT. (for tickleing), AANTEE (AUNT), UNCUN (Uncle), YAKE (why), DOUND (a round trip on the bike), AATA PAATA BABOO TAATA (the phrase for all her activities in the school), ECHHU (carry me), EDDO (get up), BEANCH (Beans), BATTU (kunkum), ANGOLI (Rangoli)

She has learnt to frame a few sentences of 2 words. MANE BANTU, OOTA AAITA, APPY UGADI (Happy Ugadi)
The tone of her sentences is so lovely, occasionally we too start of speaking in the same tone amongst ourselves. If the same tone is used for replying to GOWRI's queries, she starts blushing.

She can recognise a couple of animals - AANE, NION (for lion), CHEETA, AMBA (for cow), DUCK, PAKSHI (for all other birds), PAAYAT (parrot), CAMEL, AABIT (Rabbit)

SHe is picking up a couple of courteous mannerisms. She voluntarily thanks people whenever she is offered something that she likes / demanded. Other than our names, she can also pronounce the name – AAGU (RAGHU), GEEPU ANNA (Deepu Anna)

Whenever she feels bored being carries, she promptly ask to be carried on the shoulders by pointing her hand over my head.. saying ANNA ANNA

Whenever she sees a mobile phone, she picks it up and starts saying "alloooo".

She is showing a higher level of interest in beautification, as she looks at her time right in front of the mirror whenever her mother completes her dressing activities. No doubt, she has also started choosing the dress that she wants to wear from the wardrobe....
